Sub Inspector seats increased As Per Notification issued by PPSC through partial modification of advertisement No. 29/2020. In continuation of consolidated advertisement No. 29/2020 published on 22-10-2020 vide Serial No. 280 Case No. 70-RG/2020 79-RG/2020 for recruitment to 345 Three Hundred Forty Five posts of Sub Inspector (Open Merit BS-14) on regular basis in Punjab Police Department , the total No. of Posts has been increased from 345 to 839 , due to addition of 494 posts.
Punjab Public Service Commission has announced 494 new posts of Sub Inspector in Punjab Police in 2021 after modification of Advertisement No. 29/2020 the posts increased to 839. The detail of the new positions of SI announced by PPSC is as under:

Qualification Required for Sub Inspector SI:
Second Class Or Grade C Bachelor Degree or equivalent from a recognized University and having following standards
- Height for male : 5'feet 7" Inches (170.18 CM)
- Height for female : 5' feet 2 " inches (157.48 CM)
Chest for male : 33" - 34 1/2"
Visual Standards : Distant Vision 6/9 in eye with or without glasses and near vision not less than J-1 for both male and female

Syllabus For PPSC Sub Inspector
Start Preparation of SI PPSC from today . Syllabus of the Sub Inspector in Punjab Police is as under. There will be one paper MCQs type Objective type test of 100 Marks (90 Minutes duration having following subjects
- General Knowledge : GK section will contain MCQs from Pakistan Affairs, Current Affairs, Every Day Science, Islamiat (Ethics for Non Muslims candidates ,Fundamental rights, Geography, Basic Maths and Urdu General Science and Ability MCQs. Weightage for GK portion of SI test will be 20% marks
- English : English section will contain MCQs from Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Correction/ Completion, One word Substitute and Idioms. Weightage for English portion of Sub Inspector in Punjab Police will be 40% mean 40 MCQs .
- IT and Language Comprehension : IT or Computer MCQs section will comprises MCQs from using of Basic software like MS Office (word, Excel , PowerPoint) , Electronic Record keeping, Internet, Email etc.
