Current Affairs is the compulsory paper in CSS Exam . There are total three papers of General Knowledge. First one is General Science and Ability , Second one is Current Affairs and Third one is Pakistan Affairs . Current Affairs as the name suggest latest happening around the globe and important events which are taking place or going to happen in near future .  Current Affairs CSS paper helps the aspirants in getting 50% aggregate marks in CSS Examination because it is a high scoring subject and easy one as compared to other papers. FPSC has recommended following syllabus for Current Affairs

Gender Studies is an optional subject in CSS of Group V and got the attention of the aspirants after the revision of the CSS syllabus in 2016. Gender Studies is high scoring subject as compared to other optional subjects placed in group V. Total of 100 Marks are set for Gender Studies Paper. Gender Studies FPSC Syllabus for the CSS 2021 is as under:-

General Science and Ability is the compulsory subject of each competitive exam . FPSC syllabus General Science and Ability previously known as Every Day Science Only is the compulsory papers out of three General Knowledge Papers. Federal Public Service Commission has revised the syllabus of CSS in 2016 so the Every Day Science was renamed with General Science and Ability with addition of basic Arithmetic and Analytical Reasoning and Probability in the General Knowledge Paper 1. Every Day Science paper is of total 100 Marks . 20 Marks are set for MCQs and 80 Marks paper is the Subjective Paper.

FPSC has announced the Final result of CSS 2017 after conducting Psychological tests and interviews. What was the difference of CSS 2017 result with previous years result of 2016, this time first three positions in CSS are taken by boys.  Muhammad Awaid Irshad Bhatti  is the CSS topper of 2017 and he has strong educational background . He has schooling from Aitchison College Lahore , from here he completed his O level and A level . For graduation he joined University of California and did BS(Hon's) in (Economics and Business) and Finally he completed his MPhil in Development Economics from Cambridge University. Federal Public Service Commission is going to hold the CSS 2019 Examination from 14th February 2019 for recruitment to the posts in BPS-17 in various occupational groups/Services such as Pakistan Customs, Police Service of Pakistan, Foreign Office, OMG, Inland Revenue, Pakistan Railway and Pakistan Post.

CSS exam is conducted each year by FPSC and before the exam Federal Public Service Commission announces the syllabus for CSS. Official syllabus for CSS 2022 not  announced officially yet but it will remain same as per sources but prior to final exam of CSS 2022 a screening test or MPT test will be conducted in February 2022. FPSC has revised the syllabus 3 years ago and major changes were seen in the CSS syllabus. Download CSS 2022 Syllabus in PDF. 

CSS is the highest Competitive Exam in Pakistan and considered the most difficult exam those who cleared CSS are offered Jobs in different Occupational Groups,  some of them are Public Administration Group (PAS), Customs, Police, Inland Revenue, Information, Foreign Office, Railway and Post Office. More the marks you secure you will be placed in top-level Group. Federal Public Service Commission is given responsibility for conducting the CSS exam each year. Starting from CSS 2022 a screening test or MPT test will be conduct before CSS final Exam from 15th February in more than 19 test centers across Pakistan. CSS stands for Central Superior Services. Advertisement for CSS will be issued by FPSC in May and applications are invited from the candidates in the month of November this year.
