The government of Punjab is thinking of PMS Syllabus Revision of PPSC. In this regard a high-level meeting has been convened by the Services and General Administration Department on 18th May 2020, Monday. In this meeting Secretary PPSC, Regulation, Services, Additional Secretary (Admin ) will participate to deliberate upon the subject matter. Many PMS aspirants and serving PMS officers raised many points on the current PMS Syllabus.
Detail of concerns on PMS Syllabus is as under raised by one of the serving PMS Officer Ghulam Hussain.
- In CSS, English Essay is of 100 marks to be done in 3 hours while In PMS English Essay of 100 marks has 2 hours. Furthermore 10 essays in CSS and 6 Essays in options of PMS are also not reciprocal.
- In CSS every optional subject has 20 Marks MCQs and in PMS same pattern should be adopted and this was endorsed positively.
- In CSS two papers a day policy was shunned but now faced in PMS Two Papers a day why is one paper a day policy unviable?
- In CSS there is General Science and Ability paper which consists of both subjective and objective parts, the same is in PCS Sindh. Whereas GK in PMS is the only cause of failure of hundreds of students due to its undefined syllabus scheme.
Furthermore revision of PMS Syllabus will not affect the current PMS exam 2020. This revision will be applicable from PMS 2021 if approved by the committee members .
